random tip

March 6, 2012

Seems I have some reliable readers.

Tip–when prototyping, screw headers work well for getting untinned wires connected to a breadboard. I spent a whole afternoon however working on getting a setup working, and only at the end discovered that the pins on the header weren’t staying in the breadboard. Couldn’t use the headers on my protoscrewshield because of the setup needed to “pull” the pin. Need to check on using the internal resistor, but still don’t quite understand that since some of the stuff I read talked about still using an external 10K resistor and such despite the internal.
